Day 30 07/07/2010
I finished the Spell painting this morning and started the long process of printing and mounting. I picked up some boards from Hobby Lobby (half off!), then headed over to Fedex to scan my traditional works. Idiot me, I missed several large sections of the works, so that was a waste of time. I ended up reverting to photography. Took several hours, but I got some acceptable photos out of it. I'll bring the actual pieces tomorrow so the professor can get a good look at them in person. Everything is mounted and ready for tomorrow. Enjoy the final versions. Add Comment Day 25-29 07/06/2010
Didn't get to do much during those days really. Kinda hard to when you're expected to spend some time with relatives. I did manage one short session to lay out the gray scale version of Transformation. I just need to go in and add some more detail and the color. Work needs to be done on the Spell painting as well. I've decided that I'm going to scan the canvas works so that I can print them out with the rest. The teacher will get printed copies of each to keep/look over. #EDITED AT 9:23# Sat down at the dinner table and have not moved since 3:15, working the entire time on this one. I had my brother pose for yet another picture, just so I could get the lighting right. I added an overlay layer and played with the colors, keeping to an orange and blue color scheme. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep the refraction of light from the mirror and sword. Of course, it didn't feel right without it either. On to spend some time on the Spell painting. | ArchivesCategoriesAll |
