The past month has kept me busy in preparation for Akon 23 in Dallas, which happened last weekend. I had three costumes to finish for the event. The first was the Asari headpiece for a friend. I had to take the plaster mold to the convention and demold and clean it up in room.  There was a photoshoot with me in my Tal'i and my friend as Liara. Expect that to be posted in the coming month.

My second and biggest cosplay to finish was Jabba. It took my team and myself about a month to finish him. Of all the monster/alien things I've worn, this was them most stressful to move around in. But someone, myself and the other two girls inside him, managed to get him up a short flight of stairs, across a stage and down another set without killing ourselves. Unfortunately, we did not win anything for our efforts, but we're still happy with what we made and the skills we got to perfect. I'll be posting more WIP pictures of how we constructed him.
The last costume was Nagi from Tenchi Muyo. I was part of a large Tenchi group and we had an awesome photoshoot. Expect those pictures around the time as the Mass Effect, as they were taken by the same photographer, Judy.
Now to focus on the digigrade stilts I've been meaning to build and learn how to work with foam latex. I mean to finish building the Skirmisher.
