Even though I have loved Chrono Trigger for years, this is the first piece of fan art I have ever created from the series. Ever.
And I really don't know why.
It was still a good test of photoshop on my new laptop before I start any school assingments. My wacom tablet doesn't want to work the same way as before and I'm having to find all my favorite brushes again.
Took about 3 hours of coloring and cleaning up. I really like how I managed to give it a watercolor look, akin to how the original art work looked in the guide book. lol I'm not sure how I did it though. It was one of those time where it just happened.

Did two paintings recently. Got one done for a friend for his birthday. He really likes Halo. The other came from some inspiration from Art History class. Something done by Mondrian. Will have updates on cosplays soon.

New dragon 08/12/2009

Another kid on a dragon. This time, at the beach. Alot of people seem to be getting a Miyazaki vib from it. I was thinking of Micheal Whelan while doing it. Oh well. Both are good in my book.

Seems that some things have come up and Dead Enders is being put on the back burners again. It gives me time to work on the characters at least.

My brother approached me today about doing a comic between us. I think its a good idea. He's a good writer, I can see it working. lol. But when it came out, we'd have to explain that we are brother and sister, not husband and wife.

While waiting on word about the statis of the comic earlier, I decided to practice some more on my digital stuff. Didn't want to scan anything in, just wanted to work with the wacom tablet. The floating tree has been an idea in my head for a while. Glad I got it down so that it resembles my vision at least a little. It was on a canvas once, but got painted over.

Done in Photoshop. Spent maybe 10 hours on it.

Turns out that I may not have enough time to create a painting for the art auction. lol. Spending all of my time working on Halo armor. I'm up to the resining phase. Got the thighs, a shin, crotch, both shoulders and a wrist done. Man. That stuff burns on the face. And I have patches of it on my arms. It sticks to everything.

Messed up the first time. Added too much hardener. Turned to jelly in seconds. Then I didn't add enough. sigh. But it's getting done. Will post pictures soon.

Did a bit of art. Colored an old sketch of Kat in photoshop. I like it. Really need to do more. Got a bunch of commissions for Gaia and concept art to do. AHHHHHHHHHHHH. Too much to do. Also working on the novel still. Up to 228 pages.

Finished a Gaia avatar that I really like for a return client. Also decided to digitaly paint an old sketch for another Gaia avatar.

On the artistic note, going to being on a series of Halo paintings, focusing on the weapons of Halo 3. The laser cannon will be the first of many.
Will also begin to send out emails to different video game companies in the Austin area. I'm curious as to what they are looking for in a concept/character/storyboard artist. Degree, portfolio, experience and the like.
Forgot to mention, but did some real cool stuff on my ds. I can't wait to post them.

COLORS 12/05/2008

Finally got used to the software. I've come to love it. Posted my first stuff on the COLORS gallery.

Stupid Me 11/30/2008

Guess the R4DS was real. I was just being stupid. Did some more research, learned that it helps to format the micro. lol. Now I have COLORS on both a ds and an ipod. Wow. Too many choices. There is a difference though. The DS version allows you to zoom in and create more detail thanks to the stylis. Using a finger is a bit harder. But, I will try my best with both.
