Looks like we made it. I'm sitting here finishing up my brother's flag from Halo and hopping that everything will go okay. I've still got to pack and even decided what other cosplays I'm bringing. No armor this time though. I do know that. The room won't be big enough with all of us in it and two sets. Carl already has dibs. He hasn't gotten to wear his suit at a con yet. Besides, I think I wore it enough at Haloween.
Our group cosplay is basically done. There will be some last minute stitching done at the room, but it won't be much. I'm so happy to have my portion done. I'm just worried about how I'm going to get the main head piece around without breaking it.
And we're going to enter in the cosplay contest... 'crosses fingers'.

Finished chapter 10 last night. Was is such a rush that I sent the confirmation email to my editor without the actual illustration! lol. Thankfully this has never happened before so he knows that it was just a small blunder on my part. Fic and art still got posted by friday.
Since school got out, all I've been doing is art and cosplay. Got most of my skull created, just have to attach the beak to the rest of the skull, then detail and paint it. Most of the hands are done, along with the eyes. The feet are still, ehhh.. Not sure how to create those. Maybe having everyone around will get the juices flowing. And I got my blade cut out. Will paint it tomorrow. So, it looks likes we might make it for Ikkicon.

Found the time to finish my last Gaia commission.

Managed to find sometime between finals and my commute to do the illustration for chapter 9 of Odessa's fanfic. It started out much bigger, with the shadow of a spartan in the background, but I cut it out. I wanted to focus on the girl and her gun. This one was different for me. I don't draw or paint children... ever. I had to find some good reference. At least I got to practice my skin tones.

Managed to get two out of three of my cossplay group to come over for some much needed construction. We've got the eyes spraypainted. I'll be adding the details in foam tomorrow when the third member comes over. We also managed to make alot of finger tips out of foam. We just need to figure out how to make the feet really...
My skull is coming along. I can only work a bit on it each day just to make sure that it doesn't dry and stay in an odd position. I hope to have it done by this weekend. Then I can gesso and sand it and add the nails and such. Oh. Even found some awesome cloth feathers that are about the right length.
The Mass Effect helmet is on the back burner until after Ikkicon. The visor came in though for my ODST helmet at least. If I finish everything, then I'll work on it.

And now we are coming down to the last few weeks of this semester. The poster for the gig project went over well. The teacher called it near perfect. I can live with that.
Also turned in another project. I've got final tests next week too.
