Couldn't wait to post these up. They are the final forms of my final project for one of my classes. Hopefully... I'll only be turning in one of them however. Most likely the hand one. On a cosplay note: created the teeth for Waltz's head skull thing. Also went to Lowes and found some pipes that will work for the eyes of another cosplay... Add Comment A big thank you to the 405th and my editor. I've been promoted to lead photoshop artist! Woot! And as my first project, I created the 405th Twitter bird. There was a contest on Twitter today to name him. Not sure quite yet what was picked. I liked ODSTweet. Also finishing up a poster for my ARTC 2304 class. Should have it done and printed out by tomorrow. I'll post the finished product. I'm really excited about this project.... Just wait and see. The reception for the Art competition in Killeen was last night. Managed to drag Nicole to it. (Thank you so much) Seems that the judges prefered a more realistic feel to their art, thus, I didn't win anything. I had submitted The Fall and Midnight. The first, a surreal piece, the second, an abstract piece. I'll just keep trying. Got to help Nicole with a part of her newest cosplay. Used some of my paperclay to build her a skull for the side of her head. She's doing Lilith from Endling. I'll need to grab somemore clay to do the other skull and my own bird skull.... With the shooting just last week, it feels like we really need to pay some special attention to our troops and retirees this year. Having grown up as an Army brat, I've lived the military lifestyle, and loved it. I'm proud of my Father and everything he's done. He may have had to miss my brother's birth and my senior year in highschool, but we forgive him. He's my hero and that's all that matters. Also, a big thank you to my Grandfathers who served in the Navy and the Airforce, respectivly, as well as my uncle who was a Marine. Why does a poster have to be so expensive to print? $32 to print in fact. 24 x 36 in color. I've never spent so much on a school project before. Working on cosplay stuff as well today. Mom and I are cutting out the fabric for the group cosplay, and I'll be working on the head gear for both my new cosplays. Woo! Time to smoothcast! My friends are obsessed with Suju to put it lightly. So, they have me learning one of their many dances. They plan on filming us all. I'm posting this video here so I can find it in the future. Youtube still won't work for me. My flash has gone retarded. No matter how many times I update it, or uninstall and reinstall, I get nothing... Got the Mass Effect helmet pepped. Went through several incarnations. But I'm happy with this pep. I'll be smoothcasting it in the morning and then get to begin detailing it next weekend. Got to enter my first art show last weekend. Only submitted two works. The Fall and Midnight. Even made my own frames for them. Just thin strips of wood painted black. The reception is the 21st. It will be nice to see all the other work there and even if any of my stuff sold.... |
