Before I went to bed the other night, I decided to pick up my pencil and just draw. Had something interesting pop out. Not my usual style, but I still like it. Also did a quick sketch for a potential graphic novel I really want to do in the future.

Finished the illustration for Ch. 6 last night, but was too tired to post it here. Sorry. Had a long week.
Went down to Texas State friday to registure for classes, I start the 24th. Found a nice cheap apartment as well. Too bad I'll only be down there during class. Weekends will be spent at home working on armor and cosplay stuff. Hope my roommates understand. If not, oh well.
Didn't do the same layout for Ch.6 that I originaly had, lost my sketchbook a while back. I decided on something a bit more straight forward.
I don't usually do alot of spaceships, so this was a learning experience for me.

Longsword vs Seraph
Found a video of myself from the local con dancing. Odd stuff indeed. http://bit.ly/17fiYW
Working on the Odessa art right now, playing with the shapes and placement. Might have something to post soon.
Ahhh. Local, small-town cons. What fun. What confusions. lol
It makes me appreciate what people do at big cons like A-kon and AnimeFest. I try to help as best I can, being at the registration desk. But I wish that some of those newer volunteers would do more. It would make it so much easier on us all.
Feet are hurting pretty bad. I wore my armor for most of the day. Bad idea on my part. Most of those who will appreciate it won't be attending till tomorrow. That doesn't mean I'm going to start off in it though. Might do Skeik. Never realized how much movement that costume allowed me until I did armor. But the armor is required for the wedding tomorrow night. Yes. A wedding. The bride and groom are dressing up in Inuyasha garb. Should be interesting. I also plan to walk around town (as far as I can go anyway) and see what people think.
They've used my Odessa-086 KIA piece! Sweet! Check it out here : 405th.com. Sorry. I can't seem to get it to link.
Beginning work on next piece for Odessa's fiction. Has an awesome space battle featuring several longsword ships and the covenant seraphs. I don't usually do mechanical oriented illustrations, but I'll give it a try. Here are some sketches for layouts.

So, Harry Potter is coming out in less than a week. I can't wait. Been rereading the 6th book because I've forgotten alot. Even rewatching the movies as they come on tv. How sad am I?
Anyway, finished my first illustration for Odessa. She does a fiction for the 405th about a female spartan of the same name. Neat stuff. Hopefully I'll get to do more.
Done more for my novel as well. I'm making myself sit down and write at least five pages a day. Even been getting up to 7 on some good days. Up to 267 so far and maybe about halfway through the story. Of course, as I go along, I find myself adding more and more just because it works. I hope to have at least 500 pages at the end. And even get it published by the end of the year. Then I can work on my graphic novel.

Odessa-086 KIA?
Just got done watching the memorial of Michael Jackson. I got to see him once in concert when I was a kid. Excellent performer. Yet, I can't help but feel that they blew it out of proportion a bit.
From what I've seen of him, I think that this much attention would have gone against who he was. And his poor children. The worst part was when his daughter came up on stage. It broke my heart. Hadn't Jackson tried to protect them from the lime light and the public? Now, her fresh grief is going to be plastered across the internet.
I agree that the public needed an outlit for their own grief. But I don't think it needed to be done like this.
Seems that some things have come up and Dead Enders is being put on the back burners again. It gives me time to work on the characters at least.
My brother approached me today about doing a comic between us. I think its a good idea. He's a good writer, I can see it working. lol. But when it came out, we'd have to explain that we are brother and sister, not husband and wife.
While waiting on word about the statis of the comic earlier, I decided to practice some more on my digital stuff. Didn't want to scan anything in, just wanted to work with the wacom tablet. The floating tree has been an idea in my head for a while. Glad I got it down so that it resembles my vision at least a little. It was on a canvas once, but got painted over.

Floating Tree
Took a break from working on the cover and decided to color a sketch for Kat.
