Been feeling a bit more creative lately. Might have to do with a new project that I'm helping out with. I met Andrew at GDC Austin last year and have finally gotten the chance to help his team out. I'll be learning how to do sprites. That will be a good skill to have. Add Comment This morning's studies. One done in photoshop, the other in corel. I think I prefer corel for landscape studies. The round oil brush works with me. And after receiving my rejection from Tor, I've been studying up on query letters and synopsis's. I'm pretty happy with how they are and I've been sending them out; at least one a day. I think I'm up to 11 or 12 now. With 3 rejections out of those. I'm feeling stronger about those that are sent out with a synopsis and even sample pages. There is just too much going on that I can't get into the basic query. I've had this design sitting in my portfolio for a while and thought that it would look good on a shirt. 'Fingers crossed' We debuted my Silence masks at A-kon last weekend and even got a good photoshoot. All the pics are on our DA page: shinkastudioscosplay.deviantart.com I made them from scratch by sculpting oil clay on to a styrofoam head and then making a plaster mold and casting them with rd-407 plaster from Monstermakers. My next project is an Ood. |
