I want to enter the art auction this year but have no idea what to do. I have a large canvas and plan on working in acrylic, but that's as far as I've gotten. I don't know if I should do fan art based off of on of the several very big animes about, or do something original but still nerdy. Help?

Finished The Fall today.

Spent a few hours working on The Fall. Not sure how much more I'm going to do. I need to get started on the peice I'm going to do for the Akon art auction.

Sorry I wasn't able to post a WIP of the painting last time. Weebly was acting weird. Anyway, here's one. Might post the finished work later on as well as some random sketches and more concept art.

Managed to work on my painting again last night. Spent most of the time on the cloth. I want to make sure that the lighting is correct. Looking better. But still have a lot of work left on it.

Went to Austin Books and Comics, the mecca of comic books, yesterday. Found Skydolls, a french comic book translated by Marvel. I absolutly love this series. Read it online a few weeks ago and wanted more. This really makes me want to get started on my graphic novel. But I've decided that I need to get my normal novel done first, all the while looking at colleges and working on my concept art. Then I will do my graphic novel, and maybe something else.

I want to try something different with the graphic novel. Maybe do it on canvas so that I can paint it acrylicly. Might be something different...

Finished a Gaia avatar that I really like for a return client. Also decided to digitaly paint an old sketch for another Gaia avatar.

Got to working on the painting a bit in the last few days but had to stop. Ran out of Paine's Grey. One of my favorite colors to use instead of black. Still got more work to do. I need to increase the contrast on the cloth.

Went to Enchanted Rock again yesterday. I love that place. The caves are so much fun. Decided to go back and finish exploring a certain cave that was blocked by a racoon. This time, I got close to the end, but "didn't look a few steps ahead" as Kat told me too. So, I told them it was alright for them to go this way. But it ended in a seven foot drop. Not completly vertical, but close. Nicole and I got down with each other's help. But Ashley and Kat got to be rescued by a nice pair of rock climbers who tied ropes around their waists and lowered them down.

Kat got revenge by ripping holes in the shorts she was borrowing. I know that she didn't mean it though. lol

Here are some trees that I sketched as they went wizzing by.

If I can get my armor done in time, then I will be adding Maka from Soul Eater. I look good in pigtails.

Also, new gaia avatar commission for Twisted Pandah.
