I know that this isn't art related, but I have to share this. Someone in Austin hacked the digital road signs and posted that nazi zombies where in the area. To head for colder climates. I love it.

Just finished the Halo painting. Sorry it took so long Carl. Happy belated birthday. BTW, MC and the spartan cannon are owned by Bungie.

Sigh. Spent too much time on the Halo painting today. Starting to pick it apart. I need to just walk away and let my eyes and hands rest. After a good night's sleep, I should be able to finish it tomorrow. If I don't look at it from the working artist's perspective, then I like it. But oh, when that paint brush is in my hand... There is so much that I want to fix.

Got the charcoal outline done of the Laser Cannon painting. Used vine charcoal. I love how it blends and smudges so well. Had to fix the proportions of several things. I'll add more detail with the paint later.

Going for something a little abstract in the painting portion, I think. Just have to wait and see how it turns out.

Just finished Jill's Gaia avatar. Did it on Painter 10 using the digital watercolor option. It's a softer look than Kats. More painterly. I'm happy with it.

Spent some time on the job board at conceptart.org. Sent some emails out. I figure that I need to let people see my stuff. Need to build up my portfolio and resume. Got two replies. One said that my stuff was too advanced for their project. Guess that it makes me happy.

Man. It feels great to be home. Didn't realize how much drawing I did out in NC. Got alot to post. Won't post the COLORS stuff till later.

Did some quick portraits of my friends too.

Portrait of Katheryn. I really like it. Might want to paint it some day.

This is Jill's portrait. Might color this one too.

Finally got to see Labrynth. Loved it. Had to draw some of the characters.

On the artistic note, going to being on a series of Halo paintings, focusing on the weapons of Halo 3. The laser cannon will be the first of many.
Will also begin to send out emails to different video game companies in the Austin area. I'm curious as to what they are looking for in a concept/character/storyboard artist. Degree, portfolio, experience and the like.
Forgot to mention, but did some real cool stuff on my ds. I can't wait to post them.
